Our village has another distinctive feature : it is located in Pope’s Enclave, "l'Enclave des Papes", which is connected with the history of Avignon.

The history of the knights

Through history, Templars founded Richerenches as a medieval village.
The beautiful church Saint Denis, surrounded by the ramparts is very much appreciated for romantic weddings.
The Templar’s House was restored in 2008 and it is now the tourist information center. Through its truffle and wine museum, you can also find a permanent exhibition about the Templars, and all year long, different exhibitions and concert in the big arched room. Free entry, open all the year.

Eat, drink and taste local products

As Richerenches’ heritage we propose you to eat, drink and taste our local products :

Wine and truffle specialities of our different cellars : Le Cellier des Templiers, Le Domaine La Guibert, Le Domaine Saint Alban and the fine grocery Clos Volabis (wine producer and truffle specialities).

Richerenches' restaurants : O'Rabasse, L' Escape, Le Provençal, Les Lodges;

Bars and coffee shops : Le Provençal, L' Etablissement;

Grocer's, tobacconist and newsagent shop are open all year round; they will be pleased to welcome you;

In winter, you can buy young truffle oaks from Mr and Mrs Vigne;

In summer, your can enjoy the seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables from Eynard's farm.
